Paracord Rainbow 4mm x 40m

Paracord Rainbow 4mm x 40m is a strong and lightweight elastic cord made with polyamide in the core and a multifilament polyester outer layer. The name Paracord comes from American parachutists and the lines that hold the parachute. These lines were used by parachutists and other military personnel for general work and were favored for their strength and flexibility. Paracord is also known as 550 cord or parachute cord. Originally, the cord was supposed to have polyamide in both the core and outer layer.

Rainbow-colored paracord is a 4mm rope/string with excellent abrasion resistance, flexibility, and pliability. Paracord (also 550 cord or parachute cord) is popular for tying bracelets, outdoor ropes, lashings, repairs, tying knots, and various general outdoor activities. Our paracord has 7 parallel polyamide strands in the core and a tightly braided outer layer made of multifilament polyester. The rope has some stretch while being strong, UV- and water-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. 4 mm diameter, 40 meters per spool.

The polyamide material is very strong and has some stretch, as a too stiff rope is not desired. The tightly braided outer layer makes the paracord very smooth, pliable, and easy to handle. The rope has excellent resistance to abrasion, UV light, tension, water, and chemicals.
