Bankline is a polyamide cord impregnated with coal tar to provide extra durability against UV rays and moisture. The cord is strong and durable, suitable for areas where a thin, flexible line that is abrasion-resistant and weatherproof is desired. Tarred bankline is also known as Bank line in bushcraft contexts, where it is used for lashings, tent repairs, tool attachments, etc. Traditionally developed for the fishing industry, bankline is used for lashing, repairing nets, setting up gear and traps, and various other tasks.
