Ropes Made of Polyethylene

Here we have ropes made of polyethylene. Polyethylene is a synthetic material available in various forms and models. Ropes made of polyethylene can have significant differences in properties and performance. Our loose braided polyethylene has a very low breaking strength and is primarily used because it is inexpensive, easy to splice and comes in several colors. These ropes are mainly used for dog leashes, decorations and barriers/stanchions. Our HMPE ropes, on the other hand, are popular because they are extremely strong and have minimal stretch. These are used for demanding applications such as winch lines, tow lines, manure removal lines and trim and fall lines. The Acera Amundsen, for example, has a weight that is seven times lighter than steel wire and a breaking strength that is 70% higher.

MX Ultra is a black rope made of double-braided polyester silk with an HMPE (high-modulus polyethylene) core. MX Ultra is a rope used where very high demands on durability and tensile strength are required. The HMPE core (Dyneema fiber) gives the rope its strength. MX Ultra is highly shape-stable and flows smoothly through blocks. Suitable as a fall and trim line on boats, tow line in industry, hoisting line and for suspensions, etc. The rope has little stretch.

Acera Amundsen has a pure "Dyneema" core (HMPE) that has been treated for optimal resistance to moisture and UV light. Acera has minimal stretch (<2%) and is therefore suitable for winches, falls, trimming, manure removal and other demanding applications. Acera Amundsen is often used instead of steel wire as it is seven times lighter and a 70% stronger rope.

Loose Braided Polyethylene is available in the colors pink/cerise, green, yellow, lime green, orange and black. The rope line is 8-braided and very easy to splice. These ropes are popular for making dog leashes and tracking lines. The colorful options also make them suitable as barrier ropes and for enclosures.
