Braiding type

Wide selection of braided ropes in various models.

On this page, we have gathered and categorized our braided ropes based on their manufacturing technique. Braided ropes consist of four or more strands woven together to form a rope. The braiding results in a rope that is flexible, supple, strong, shape-stable and rigid. Generally, it can be said that braided ropes have less elongation, are more shape-stable and are easier to handle compared to twisted rope. One can also generalize that tightly braided ropes have better shape stability (ability to maintain their form) and less elongation compared to loosely braided ropes. For applications where minimal elongation during pulls (e.g., sheet lines and climbing ropes) and minimal friction when passing through a block are desired, a 24- or 32-braid rope is often used.
