The polyester material gives our boat lines strong resistance to saltwater, abrasion, UV rays, and sudden jerks. The braided construction also provides high dimensional stability, making these braided lines easy to handle during mooring and anchoring.

Properties and Flexibility of Braided Ropes

Typically, braided ropes have significantly less "stretch/flex" compared to twisted cordage. Historically, twisted cordage has been used for mooring due to the desired stretch to absorb the jerks and pulls that occur when a boat is moored. Nowadays, materials and braiding techniques provide excellent flexibility even for braided lines. These ropes also have the advantage of being easy and smooth to handle and are more or less "kink-free."
