This artificial hemp rope seems to be the best option in terms of price in terms of appearance and manageability, if you do not insist on real hemp, which is about twice as expensive. The Ropestore website seems clear and has a large selection of rope types and dimensions, and seems to be quite the authority in the Nordic countries regarding rope for use in crafts.
