The name Paracord comes from American parachutists and the lines that hold the parachute. These cords were used by parachutists and other military personnel for general tasks and were favored for their strength and flexibility. Paracord is also known as 550 cord or parachute cord. Originally, the cord was intended to have polyamide in both the core and the outer sheath.

Our paracord features 7 parallel polyamide strands in the core and a tightly braided outer sheath of multifilament polyester in a striking blue/neon yellow color combination. The rope has some stretch while being strong, UV- and water-resistant, and abrasion-resistant. It has a diameter of 4 mm and comes in 40-meter spools.
