Danfender foam-filled hard plastic buoy

Danfender PE Mooring Buoys are designed to provide outstanding durability and safety for mooring applications. Unlike traditional inflatable mooring buoys, these buoys feature a robust polyethylene (PE) hard-shell exterior, carefully filled with high-density PUR foam. This design ensures that the buoy remains buoyant even if it is damaged. The eyes and swivels are hot-dip galvanized to resist corrosion and withstand harsh marine environments. Additionally, the upper part of the eyes is coated with a protective black Rilsan finish.

When mooring your boat to a Danfender mooring buoy, always use the lower eye (swivel). This ensures that your boat maintains a direct connection to the anchor, enhancing stability and safety. The upper eye is solely intended for retrieving the buoy and for additional safety measures. Note that the maximum load capacity for a PE buoy is 60% of the stated buoyancy. Adhering to this load capacity ensures that the buoy functions optimally and remains safe to use.
