Wire rope clips, Galvanized

Wire Rope Clips made of hot-dip galvanized steel are used to clamp wires or ropes. Wire rope clips are used where splicing a loop or ferrule is not possible or desired. Ideal for mooring lines, rigging, swings, climbing ropes, rope railings and rope constructions such as rope bridges and nets, scaffolding for heavy lifting and much more. In applications like lifting, it is often recommended to use two clips per loop to ensure durability, even if one of the clips rusts or otherwise loosens.

The clamp lock consists of a ring with two threaded bolts, nuts and a lock housing. The rope passes through the wire rope clip twice, forming a loop at the other end. The loop is secured by tightening the lock housing with the nuts, which clamps the rope tightly, creating a very strong lock. It is important that there is enough rope in the ring to clamp it properly. A clip with a 16mm width can often be used for slightly thicker ropes (e.g., 18mm) by pressing the rope into the loop before tightening.
