Flagline in Reinforced Spun Polyester, 4–8 mm

Flaglines and flag ropes made from reinforced polyester wool offer high abrasion resistance and excellent durability. The flagline is made from a blend of polyester wool and polyester yarn, providing a comfortable grip. Its cross-braided construction creates a strong flag rope that resists kinking and offers good flexibility. The rope is compatible with both external and internal halyard systems and fits most flagpole models.

Rope Store’s flagline has the properties required for outdoor use on flagpoles, including excellent UV resistance, high breaking strength and good water resistance. It is comfortable to handle when raising and lowering the flag. The rope does not float and has an elongation at break of approximately 25%.

Choose the Right Length and Diameter for Your Flagpole

Calculate the rope length by doubling the height of the flagpole and adding two to three metres for knots and fittings:

• 6–8 metre flagpole: 15–20 metres of rope (5 mm)
• 9–10 metre flagpole: 20–25 metres of rope (5–6 mm)
• 12 metre flagpole: 25–30 metres of rope (6 mm)
• 14–18 metre flagpole: 30–40 metres of rope (6–8 mm)

For standard residential flagpoles measuring 6–12 metres, 5 mm or 6 mm rope works well. Taller flagpoles or exposed locations require 6–8 mm rope for greater tensile strength and a more comfortable grip.

How to Order? Rope is sold either by the meter, spool, coil or box, depending on the available options under variants. For example, if you purchase 10 m x 4 pcs, you will receive 4 separate ropes, each with a length of 10 meters. The rope is measured automatically and a margin of error of ±10% should be expected. For example, if you need 50 meters of rope, it is recommended to order 55 meters to ensure you receive the correct length.
